Restobars to Unwind to in the Capital

Sea Sunset Bar, Vientiane

One of Vientiane’s newest watering holes, is just a Singapore Sling’s distance from Sengdara Gym.

The drinks menu is long and delightful and includes classic and extinct cocktails remembered only in TS Elliot and Hemingway novels, and revived by an obvious aficionado, or maybe cocktail archivist. Behind the black and white bar the attentive staff create cocktail alchemy. The place is elegant with couches into which one can sink. The tapas is great as is the mixed greens and apple salad. The squid and octopus salad is really something to chew on.
